Terms of Service

These terms cover Fin, its optional Fin account on SharkPond, online play, chat, and the optional Discord account link and voice parties. Using Fin means you accept them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app, except where these terms give you more rights.

Your games and files

Fin includes no games, BIOS files, firmware, or encryption keys. Only load files you own and dumped yourself. You are responsible for the files you use and for mods you make or install.

Fin accounts

An account is optional. Keep your sign-in private and pick a username that does not impersonate anyone or contain slurs, threats, or sexual content. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

Conduct

Do not harass, threaten, or abuse other players in games, chat, or voice parties, share illegal content, cheat in ways that affect other players, spam, or try to break or overload SharkPond servers. Report a player from Party Chat. We review reports and may remove content, suspend, or close accounts that break these rules.

Discord and voice parties

Linking Discord is optional and uses Discord's own sign-in. Fin never sees your Discord password. Discord linking, voice parties and party chat are for ages 13 and up. Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply to anything you do on Discord, including party voice and messages. You can unlink at any time.

AI services

Omnivore uses the AI service you sign in to. That service's own terms apply to what you send it and what it returns.

Purchases

Fin Premium and other purchases are processed and refunded by Apple under the App Store's terms.

Open source

Fin's source code is published on GitHub under the GNU General Public License. Those licenses apply to the source code, and nothing in these terms limits the rights they give you.

No warranty

Fin is provided as is. Emulation is not perfect and some games may not run. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, save files, or indirect damages from using the app.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use Fin after a change means you accept it.
